Opossum — courtesy CT.gov
I didn’t sleep well last night. Lower back pain was making it nearly impossible to sleep. I arose from bed around 5 AM and looked out of the window. A small animal was moving away from the barn. I reached for my glasses as the critter found shelter in the shadow of the propane tank.
Soon, the little fellow moved out of the shadow. From the pointed nose to the rat-like tail, I knew it was an opossum.
He searched under the apple tree, where he quickly found his treasure. With an apple in his mouth, he ran for the shelter of shadow.
All that may explain why I haven’t seen very many apples under the tree. I don’t mind sharing them the opossum.
