Computer guru and good friend, Robert, brought my computer back home on Sunday. He had found a number of serious problems and fixed each one. I’m grateful to have my new (Win 7) computer back online. The ancient (Win XP) laptop worked–just not as well.
Last Friday (the 13th), Briana took the RN licensing exam. Within six hours of finishing, she received a congratulatory e-mail from licensing authorities in Wisconsin.
She spent the weekend with the East Kentwood High women’s water polo team. Briana assumed assistant coach duties as the gals competed in their first (pre-season) tournament of the year. She has been assisting with this team and the swim team when she could. But now, it is over.
Yesterday, Briana said goodbye to her parents and drove to her new home in Madison. Sylvia and I received a call in the evening to let us know that she was there and doing well.
Seems like last year she looked like this:
I am truly blessed.
It’s great that you have your computer back. Having a love/hate relationship with computers is a part of modern life.
Congratulations to Briana.
Twenty-five years ago, I was very comfortable with computer hardware and software. I still assemble my own, but my understanding has not kept pace with developments. Fifty years ago, I worked for IBM, but that was a different (pre-PC) world.
Briana thanks you. :tiphat:
Oh, I am so excited for Briana! I know she is going to do well and enjoy her new life. The hardest part is not seeing her as often, but she will be busy and learning a TON! Please keep us posted on how she is doing.
Thanks, Lin. We are confident that she we will do well.
Big congrats to her!! I’m glad they didn’t make her wait long for the test results. She’s a beauty too, btw!! I always think that but never day it. I know you already know anyway. 🙂
Thanks, Rosey. :tiphat:
II know it eems like just the other day to you, but not really. Good for the young lady. Win 7 here, too.
I do understand that time flow is relative. When you are with your love, the hours seem like seconds. When you are in the “hot seat,” the seconds seem like hours.
Wow! She’s on her way. I really liked XP, Win 7, not so much, but it’s OK. I’m dreading Win 8 when I have to go there.
Yes, she is! My computer is Win 7 ’cause I didn’t want 8.
What a very remarkable and very lovely young lady she has turned out to be. I wish her many blessings as she begins this new adventure in her life. May God always go with her. She seems to have Sylvia’s smile.
Thanks, Bonnie. Briana has two remarkable parents that provided the guidance, support and love that made her what she is.
Good news to hear you received your computer back. Remember, you have a neighbor who can always help you with those issues :yea:
Thanks, Curt. :tiphat: I’ll keep that in mind.
