Yesterday, Sunday, Sylvia and I spent the afternoon with Bryant, Barbara and Briana. We enjoyed a wonderful relaxed family time with our son and his family.
We had come to celebrate Briana’s 17th birthday. Yeah! So we did that with good food and pleasant conversation. Barbara had baked a strawberry-rhubarb birthday pie. It looks good in the picture. Trust me, it tasted even better.
I wanted to post a picture with Barbara in it, but that shot didn’t come out. I can see it in the camera, but I can’t download the image. Sorry about that.
Later that evening, we called Scott (our other son) and talked with him for quite a while. I spent a little time online before going to bed. It had been a great day.
Now I see Briana got her looks through you and Bryant. What a handsome guy. glad you had such a great day. why no pictures of the wifey?

How nice, Chuck!! That is a great photo you've got there. And strawberry-rhubarb pie?? LOVE it!! I make that in the summer too–in fact I have rhubarb sitting on the counter just waiting for me. Who's got the red hair–you or Sylvia??
I love being out looking at nature more than most things, but being with family tops everything. The best thing ever. I'm glad you got to do it.
I am so happy to see that you had a wonderful Father's Day with your family! It warms my heart to see you and your son and your grand daughter together in the photo. I can feel the love…. You and your son look very handsome but Brianna looks especially beautiful in that second photo…just gorgeous! I am sending you and your family many good wishes via this invisible connection…thank you for sharing such goodness with the rest of us.
Good to hear you had a wonderful Father's Day.
that's wonderful, Chuck! nice to hear you had a great time on Father's Day:))
Umm, it would appear that figurin' is not a strong suit in your family. For there ain't no 17 candles on that pie, I reckoned. (We Arkies are pretty good at countin' to 20 for obvious reasons!)
Really a wonderful multi-generation celebration. Thanks for sharing.
