It was forty years ago that Sylvia, the boys and I moved to Quito Ecuador. We had to wait for furniture. It was custom made back then/there. It didn’t take too long for a couch and two chairs to be made and delivered. The dining room set took longer. We improvised.
Oh, that reminds me of camping. We make do. We just do. Whatever can be a table, is. I think that teaches kids to be creative in your surroundings and will get you far in life when the dime is hard to find.

Yes, they do. The older one because of personal discipline. The younger after a career in the military.
I bet it was a nice quality if they made it custom. This is a great photo. 🙂
It was okay. The wood was closer to white pine than red oak. Not the sturdiest stuff around.
