It’s a Tough Life . . .

I received some interesting responses to last Monday’s post, Grass for Kitty.  My son Scott even sent me this picture:

Okay.  Thanks.  Message received.  But please notice that smile on Kitty’s face.

No smile on Midnight’s face.  Sylvia is in Honduras on a mission trip and we boys are batching it.  We are missing our lady already.

Last week got crazy as final preparations were underway.  By Tuesday, I had the week’s posts in the queue.  The rest of the week was spent taking care of little details while Sylvia was writing lesson materials in Spanish.  She’ll be doing six sessions with children from the neighborhood and sometime during the week she’ll hold a seminar for Sunday School teachers.  She can tell you more about it when she returns.

Sylvia is also the translator for the team of eight.  They’ll be doing some finish work in the church they worked on two years ago.  They’ll be doing electrical wiring, installing dry-wall and ceramic tile.  Again, I’ll let her fill you in on details.

Sylvia called on Saturday to let me know that she had arrived safely at her destination.  It sure was good to hear her voice.  It will be even better when I can see her again.  By his actions, Midnight lets me know that he misses her too.

  1. Horray for Sylvia! A friend of ours is on his way home from Venezuela. He and friends spent two weeks trying to get permission to accompany bulldozer parts in to a jungle mission to help the people rebuild their machine. The parts got through, Doug and friend did not. They are just praying that someone already there will know how to use the parts.

  2. I hope Sylvia has a nice trip and that you two survive her absence.

As for the grass–cats barf no matter what so you might as well give him the grass. They LOVE that stuff! Mine actually went outside to see if they could find some under the melting snow.

  3. Cats have a plan to rule the world and I can see that look on Midnight's face. Lookout… Manipulation comes next! 😀

  4. I hope Sylvia has a very safe trip.

We are just regurgitating our hard learned lessons when it comes to cats.
