First, I want to thank the followers of Secondary Roads. It is a big encouragement to see new folks on the list. I’d also like to thank a bunch of folks for recent visits and the comments. And very special thoughts to you folks who stop by so regularly and take time to leave a comment. Each one of you brings encouragement to me, and that moves me to want to do the best I can for you each day.
Lately, I have not spent much time online as carpal tunnel problems have once again hit me hard. I’ve spent most of this week with a wrist brace strapped in place. It’s not much fun to go through the pain that comes from use of my right hand. I’ve been using Ibuprofen and Aspirin to help with pain and swelling.
One nice thing about wearing a wrist brace that covers half of my hand is that folks don’t have to shake my hand. Even some women were hurting me with their firm grip. (Farm gals are not usually frail.)
I’ve been through this before, so I know what to do. It takes rest and time to get over this. I’ve also gotten out the wrist pads for the mouse and keyboard. It is helping, and I hope to be back to normal in a couple of weeks. Until then, I’ll continue to visit your bogs, but not leave many comments.
I’ll also try to get some reading in. My son, Bryant, lent me a couple of books recently that I’ve been wanting to read. So I’ve gotten a bit more time in on reading. I’ve also watched some movies, on DVD, online and on DirecTV.

We love it when you can "play" with us, but totally understand. Tell us about your books when you can.
Oh, I'm sorry. I hope the pain goes quickly
I agree that you need to rest! We will be here when you feel better! You could always train your cute kitty to operate the mouse for you! LOL!
I have Dragon if you want it. I don't need it now that I've had surgery for my carpal tunnel. I know an awesome (as in walks-on-water) surgeon if you decide to go that route.
Hope you're feeling better soon.
I used to have carpal tunnel as a young lady. Ouch! I hope you feel better soon.
I have an exercise video by a Christian doctor, Dr. Colbert, who has a good exercise for carpal tunnel sufferers. Maybe I can look around and see if it's online…
Take care. Relax. Think of all the interesting posts you'll have when you are ready to write again!
P.S. In case you;re interested, there's also a software program called Dragon Naturally Speaking that allows you to speak commands to the computer and "write" posts. It may interest you.
Speedy Recovery, Chuck. Take it easy until you're ready to hit it again.
Was that a wicked Hee! Hee! from the volunteer?
Take a break, Chuck. If it is rest that your arms need, then so be it! I hope it feels better.
I will volunteer to leave comments on your behalf on all our favorite blogs. 😉 Now THAT would be interesting. Hee! Hee!
