Lin expressed the desire to see me in action during a Zumba class. Here you go gal . . . just for you.
At least, that’s what I think I looked like in class. You know how that works, right? You can’t always trust your feeling. Here’s proof.
Since Zumba class, I have developed a problem in my right heel. It’s the beginning of a bone spur. I’ve had this before, and with the right stretching exercise, rest and time it should return to normal. Perhaps no Zumba for a while. 🙁
Speaking of making a spectacle . . . Last week I picked up my new glasses. They didn’t seem right, but I gave my eyes a few days to adjust and to try them out in various conditions. Yesterday, I went back to see the optician.
She asked me several questions looked things over very carefully and stepped into her work area. She installed new nose pads that grip and don’t slip. They really do work well. She also set the glasses a little higher on my face. Wow! What a difference. They work like they should. 😀
Finally, the arthritis in my right hand is kicking up again. I’ll be minimizing my time here at the computer for a while. This is beginning to seem like a pattern to me. I don’t like it. :banghead:
If I “go missing,” I’m probably okay except for that hand. But I’ll be thinking about you.
Hope that hand is feeling better soon (and the potential bone spur too!).
They both are a bit better, but it will require time and proper treatment.
Ummmm….I didn’t picture you in pink gym shoes for some reason…..
I think most people don’t really Zumba like they do in those videos. I was working out with my trainer (you know, my ONE visit with the trainer) and we were laughing at the people in the Zumba class next door. Nobody was really shakin’ it, but I think they thought they were. It’s exactly as you post it–what they think they are doing and what they are actually doing are two VERY different things!!
Bummer about the heel….and the wrist. Sigh. It’s that cold weather wrecking havoc. My hips hurt when I sit too long and mine are killing me these days. With all the holiday stuff going on, I can’t get to the pool. 🙁 it’s funny how moving actually makes me feel better!
Get better soon, Chuck!
I prefer to think of them as my “red” shoes. 🙄
Missy said something on Sunday about doing Zumba in front of mirror. It sure changed the way she thought about what she was doing, and she’s the instructor. 😯
It will probably get better once we have transitioned out of winter. Until then I’ll just have to be patient. Oops, should I say we will have to be patient.
Moving helps me too. If it doesn’t cause that heel spur to flare up. :frustrated:
