First, I must tell you that I did not take any of these photos. I received them in an e-mail from a friend with no indication of the source of the images. I saw these and I thought of a couple of my friends that live here in Michigan. Folks that you may know, and that you might enjoy meeting if you don’t know them.
This should remind you of Ratty. He has a thing for black squirrels.
You might even say that Ratty is a squirrel nut. He writes about a lot of other interesting creatures that he finds on his daily adventures.
Looks like the Red-Tail Hawk is going to have headache! Yes, Red-Wing Blackbirds are very feisty. While both of these species are found here in my neighborhood in their season, I did not take this picture. I have seen similar scenes, but never where the smaller bird seems to be a passenger. Notice the furled wings.
This shot reminds me of another outdoor-loving friend, Sharkbytes. She recently posted a picture of a Red-Tail. So immediately thought of her when I saw this fascinating image.
Thanks Chuck, I'll be back here on Tuesday/s(if I will not forget, I will put it in my notepad). Thanks again. Have a good day!
Clara, My favorite is the birds.
Pricilla, Ratty seems to have different results with his squirrely buddies.

I like the little guy eating the cake! Good for him!
Hey, are you back dropping again?
I love squirrels. I have photos of the golden mantle ground squirrels that inhabited the forest where we camp hosted. I would feed them. They would climb my hammock while I was in it and eat peanuts from my hands.
If I didn't have their snacks out in time they would climb the trailer steps and bang on the door.
heh heh
The hawk and red-winged blackbird picture is amazing! But my favorite is the squirrel reaching for the peanut. I haven't fed a squirrel that way, but I've had chipmunks climb into my had to eat the seeds I was holding. They're quite tame up at the lake.
