Saturday Song & Thanks Top Droppers

This song makes me think of my maternal grandpa. He was a wonderful fellow, and I miss him 38 years later. Grandpa Fred was a hard as nails and as soft as silk. Strong hands and a tender heart.

Last weekend I saw a friend from High School whom I haven’t seen in years. Her parents were also there. Her dad said, “Doesn’t he look like his grandpa, Fred?” It really made me feel good to hear that.

Thanks to top droppers from April.

  1. Having a good grandpa to remember is a special thing. I had two great ones. I guess not everybody is so lucky to know even one. I’d feel pretty good if someone said I looked like one of mine.

  2. Wow… such competition to be a dropper! I never make anyone’s list because I have 2 different logins, and I never hit everyone, everyday on the same one… no biggie. I did the song… I don’t usually- I’m usually in too big a hurry at this time of day, but I took the time.

  3. Are you kidding me??? I’m not on the list??? I demand a recount!! Was I number 11?? I’ll bet I’m up there if you count comments…

  4. I wonder how I missed the list?!! I like your blog very much and I thought I dropped by everyday! I will have to make sure this month

  5. What a wonderful compliment, to be compared to your beloved grandpa!!! I too miss my paternal grandmother, even though she’s been gone for 21 years.
