A spokesman for Charles M. Schulz Creative Associates in a brief statement issued a news release confirming that Snoopy is actually a beagle.

Snoopy is all beagle! He’s always been my fav. The graphic with Snoopy dancing to the 59th St Bridge song by Simon and Garfunkel is my (secular) theme song.
Snoopy is no. 1. I even like him more than Garfield. :laff:
