At my age, winter is not as much fun as it was when I was a young ‘un. I’m just not up for sledding, ice skating . . . not even making snow persons.
These days (daze?), I just want to stay in where it’s warm. That’s okay, but when that happens, all I do is sit at the computer, sit in front of the TV, sit in the recliner with a book or sit at the table. Nothing wrong with sitting at the table, but what happens when that’s not the only place I eat? I find it easy to snack at the computer, in front of the TV and while reading a book.
Aye, there’s the rub. Snack, nibble, snack, eat. Soon one is carried away. And I look like this:
Now I’m ready to hibernate. How about you?
It’s easy to feel that way these days, isn’t it? Then add a thick sweater and a puffy coat….yikes. Reminds me, I need to get back into the routine of going to the gym again. *sigh*
For kicks, I threw on my pedometer to wear all day yesterday. The new office is much, much larger and I make sure I use the copier that is farthest from my desk. Surprisingly, I logged 3.5 miles just at work. I guess I don’t sit as much as I thought!
Yes, it is easy. Some days, I’d like to set the thermostat to 76 F, but I can’t afford the fuel to do that.
I hop up about every 20 minutes and walk to the far end of the house and come back. That can’t come close to 3.5 miles in a long day. I’m impressed.
Next week should us some warmer weather.
That changed happened quickly. Helium?
Would you believe online graphics manipulation. Visit photofunia.com
Did you read the Santa Clause?
No, but I saw the movie with Tim Allen. :whaa:
As we say on the farm, you are wintering well. Very well!
Ha ha ha. :haha: Well said. Well said, inded.
Well, you didn’t lose the smile! :tiphat:
Right. Even with such powerful graphic manipulation software, I couldn’t do that. They probably have a help file to guide me through that. 😉
Since you can make yourself look artificially fat, how about making me look thin? :awe: And a little nibbling should be OK. You need extra calories in the winter to keep warm.
At this point, I’m tempted to write something impolitic. But the words of the hymn come to mind, “Yield not to temptation, for yielding is sin.”
Okay, I’ll nibble a little . . . but just to keep warm.
