About Chuck
I am retired after a career in electronics and in publishing. Today, my wife of 50+ years, Sylvia, and I live in a house on a hill beside a dirt road in rural west Michigan. We enjoy living in this country environment where livestock and wild life out number the human population.
Gorgeous pictures!
Been battling a bad arthritis flare up. I'm still around!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Ratty – The fog is a major reason for capturing the image. The bright birch bark and yellow leaves contrasting with the dormant cattails. It was a magic moment.
Lea – Thanks. I think you've summed up the essence well.
Shark – I think so too. Thanks–I wanted to ask those who know the blog best. You are one of those.
Beautiful sunlight.
I like your blog a lot the way it is. You share of yourselves and the rural area around you.
I like this series. It is interesting how the focus shifted from the beautiful yellow tree (photo one) to the magnificent grasses (photo three).
Great photos, all three!
I like the contrasts of the green grass, the the fall colors on the larger plants, and the touch of fog in the background.
Rebecca – Shadows and do you see the trace of fog in the background? It's that time of year again.
Pricilla – Lucky indeed. I shivered when I visited your blog this morning. We had some snow in the air on Thursday, but it didn't stick.
Lin – Thanks. I'm thankful that the snow hasn't arrived.
Sherry – From Ionia County, Michigan. On the other side from Bay City.
CameraCruise – Thanks. I love these 11 acres in the country.
Keith – Those pictures are knock my eyes out beautiful. Very good work there friend.
Donna – I think maybe we are. Perhaps cousins? Thanks for the visit. FWIW, I really like your blog.
Nice photos – fine colors. And very serene.
I like your name 'secondary roads' – maybe we're related. I'm AlwaysBackroads.
I love trees this time of year. I've posted pictures of trees too this week.
Beautiful!
Are these from Michigan? Hope to visit there before long. My daughter just moved to the Bay City area.
Pretty as a picture!! And look–no snow yet!! 😀
No snow yet in your part of the woods. Lucky you!
Ah, those November shadows….
