Baby it’s Cold Outside

WinterWind

Single degree temps,
Chill me to my very bones,
Winter bites down hard.

About Chuck

I am retired after a career in electronics and in publishing. Today, my wife of 50+ years, Sylvia, and I live in a house on a hill beside a dirt road in rural west Michigan. We enjoy living in this country environment where livestock and wild life out number the human population.

    • Why you bought a Subaru is no secret. I used Sylvia’s Jeep to go to Lake O today. I came home on the back roads, which were not as slippery as the main roads. They appear to have scraped the back roads here in Ionia County. However, we are outside the lake effect snow zone.

  1. You ain’t a’kiddin. It’s so cold outside, that I couldn’t go to the grocery store. Every single handle was frozen and I was scared to snap one off if I kept trying.CubScouts tomorrow…should be interesting, I might try warm water on the door handles. I’ve never done it before, but can’t hurt, right (famous last words)? Stay warm, you two!

    • Thanks, Rosey. We’re doing our best to stay warm. My weather gizmo says Thursdays high is forecast at 9 F. Here’s hoping we all survive that.

  2. January came and reminded us what winter is really about. Thank you, January. I almost forgot. Grrrrr….

Drove behind a car on my way home today that was pokin’ along. You know, creeping like they never drove in snow EVER…and then I got close enough to read the license plates……..

    Alaska.

    You gotta be kidding me.

    • Winter will what winter wills. I’m just glad I’m no longer one of the commuters. Too many crazy days with timid and aggressive drivers. I used to get passed by a gal that was putting on makeup as she drove. :stars: I will never know how she could do that while driving faster than anyone else on the road.
