A friend told me that Midnight needed a box that he could lay in. I fixed one up just for him.
As you can see, it is just the right size for him. Cable ties reinforce the structure so he can stand or sleep on the top as well as inside.
One of Midnight’s first acts was to “taste” the walls. They might not have been yummy, but those fangs made a delightful sound as they crunched through the walls.
Every time he enters or leaves the box, he has take crunch or two. It has become a fun game — for him.
In no time the box looked like this. And just like you’d expect, he’s put his mark on our world.
Ha! Ha! Hobbes does that too–what is with the chewing of the box???! What a goofball!
Kitties just LOVE boxes! I like to cut peek holes in there too–so a paw can fit through for secret attacks.
That is one spoiled kitty, Chuck.
Shark, He certainly has removed any remnant of boredom from our lives! It may be another way of marking territory.
Pricilla, Sometimes he lets me feel his teeth, but has yet to close his jaws firmly on me.
Rebecca, It is indeed a marvelous sound. I love that crunch.
E, I thought that's what he was doing. Thanks for the roasted lamb recipe. I can hardly wait to try it.
Mom, I love spoiling my buddy. He does enjoy playing with the pieces that he bites off of the box.
Must be tasty to have invited so much activity in such a short time. You are so nice for spoiling Midnight so.
I always gets me how they like to mark their spot. He made it clear this is my box, lol.
By the way the Roasted Rosemary and Garlic Lamb is up on my Kitchen site.
Oh my word, that is hilarious!! I have heard the crunching of cats on cardboard, and it is a marvelous sound…
Better the box than you!
That is too funny! Mr. Fang. Your box may be short lived at that rate. I think he likes the feel of the cardboard in his mouth. You have not adopted a cat, you have a whole circus.
