About Chuck
I am retired after a career in electronics and in publishing. Today, my wife of 50+ years, Sylvia, and I live in a house on a hill beside a dirt road in rural west Michigan. We enjoy living in this country environment where livestock and wild life out number the human population.
I find it totally amazing what nature can do. These little creatures created a beautiful next with spit! So cool!
Pretty sure that would send my little one running for the hills so fast he’d be in Ohio before I could catch ‘im. He’s going through an, “I’m scared of bees” phase. Hope it passes soon. ❗
Wait ’til you see what I discovered today. Too late and too tired to post it today.
Yikes- not too near, I hope. Nice pix, though
Not too near. Surrounded by hollyhocks.
Awesome! Super cool shots!
Happy Wordless Wednesday! 🙂
Thanks! :tiphat:
And to you too. Enjoy it.
Oh no. that’s a big nest.
I have a fake paper wasp nest that I hang so that wasps don’t build in our garage or under our deck anymore. it seems to work. but I have to replace it several times because whenever it rains, they start to fall apart.
When we lived in Connecticut, they would start to build a nest in our carport. After two days, birds would clean out the next and eat the occupants. But that’s not happening here.
Wow! that’s big heheh!
Have a buzztastic week :haha:
Yes, it is. :whaa:
Thanks, you too. :frolic:
*Shudder* Were you able to get rid of them without getting stung?
No I haven’t gotten rid of them. For now, they have a free pass. :surrender: When winter arrives and they’re inactive, that may change.
I had one of those once in my door. They build them so fast.
I hope you were able to clear it away without incident. Yes, they do build them fast. Fortunately, this one is away from our traffic pattern.
