Briana and Patches ~ Then and Now

Briana and Patches ~ The early days
Briana and Patches ~ May 2010
Patches has been with Briana all the way through her school years.  He was just a pup when she started school and now he is an elderly gentleman.  In dog years he’s as old as Briana’s great grandfather (Sylvia’s dad).  Fortunately, Patches can’t see Briana making fun of his serious demeanor.

About Chuck

I am retired after a career in electronics and in publishing. Today, my wife of 50+ years, Sylvia, and I live in a house on a hill beside a dirt road in rural west Michigan. We enjoy living in this country environment where livestock and wild life out number the human population.

  1. How swiftly the years have passed.
And good old Grandpa, ready to share the pictures with the world!
No child making a funny face is safe.

  2. I love Briana's hair. The colour is very nice.

It's nice to grow up with a pet.

  3. Chuck, those are great pictures and she'll remember her friend for years to come with those. How sweet that they have been friends for so long!

  4. What sweet photos!!!

My word, what amazingly bright hair! Where did she get such bright orange hair, Chuck? 😀

A loving pet is such a blessing.

And I can't get over what a wonderful grandpa you are. 🙂

  7. Briana and PAtches is truly best friend. How lucky they are to have each other. I wish to have other patches in my life, too. God bless you Chuck, visiting you again, after a long time absent.

  8. Wow… the similarities between Briana and my own daughter are amazing… the same red hair and glasses! lol
My daughter got her dog at age 4 (she is now 20). They grew up together. Sasha is now deaf, partially blind and has had two strokes but she keeps on ticking.
She lives for the days when my daughter is home from college. They are still best friends.
