Looking out my office windows

Midnight greets Sylvia

That’s the view out our office window.  Thursday morning, the contractor is coming to replace the two office windows and two windows in the basement.

We’re excited and glad to begin the process of replacing windows.  Later this year, we’ll replace more.  For now, this will get us started.

I’ll be back later.  I’m shutting down the computer in anticipation of their visit.

  1. After having the old siding stripped from the house, insulation put in , and new siding put on, I thought that the house would be really cozy….Eek…not really. When it’s windy, I still feel the chill in the air. Now, I’m told that new windows should have been put in first…..Live and Learn…right???? :haha:

    • That seems to be the way it works, Grace. We did it that way in Connecticut. This modular house dates to 1993, and insulation and siding are okay.

  2. Oooh, that is an exciting home improvement! I’ll bet it will feel warmer after all of them have been replaced. We need to start doing the same here too. Expensive…but worth it. Happy New Windows!
