Feeling Daffy

The miniature daffodils are in bloom.  They are really neat.

A regular size daffodils puts the miniatures in scale.

Thus far only the dark yellows have blossomed.  We have some other shades, but they tend to blossom a little later.  I’ll keep watching.

Warm weather is now with us.  That’s kind of nice.  It means that it’s time to get outdoors and do some work on lawn and garden.

That’s a good thing.  Not only does it feel good, but it also helps one to sleep better at night.

  1. Just went out and picked a couple Daffodils as some heavy rain is expected tomorrow, so I can still enjoy the flowers for a few more days !! And when I was out there, all of a sudden I noticed the Dandelions scattered around the yard!! Also , to my surprise, I some tulip buds are starting to open . Noticed a little raking that needs to be done too.

  2. I’ve put pix of them on blog a couple times. But the pix never preserve the orange of the trumpets. It always washes out to yellow, so the pictures annoy me. :badmood:

    • A good graphics program should help you restore that “look and feel.” I’m particularly fond of Photoshop Elements.

    • I hope you share some pix. We worked on the garden today. Sylvia helped me with fence. After that she started clearing weeds and grass.

  3. Oh, those are cute! I do not have any daffodils in the garden.

I agree about the yard work. And after a hard day outside, I like to sleep with my windows open and hear the frogs singing.

    • Today I saw some of the lighter daffodils. I’ll try for pix tomorrow.

Wish we could hear our peepers from our bed room windows. Unfortunately, they face the barn. Our peepers are on the other side.
