Thinking Back . . . It’s About Pie

I was searching through some folders in My Documents when I found this comment I left on the Duck and Wheel with String blog last September.

In that post, Lin wrote in part: 3. “Is eating pie out of a cup acceptable? Irene had me busting at work this morning, eating leftover pie from yesterday’s birthday celebration out of a cup. Apparently we used all the plates at the party.”

I love pie.  I mean, I really enjoy eating pie.  It is my favorite dessert.  You can keep your cakes and cookies.  Give a piece of pie with a cup of coffee.  Ah, a small slice of heaven.

That’s why I posted this comment on Lin’s blog.

Would you eat a pie?
That’s what I’d like to know.

Yes, I’d eat a pie,
I would eat it in the snow.

I would eat it with a pup.
I would eat it in a cup.

I would eat it with a spoon.
I would eat it very soon.

I would eat it in the fall.
I would like it best of all.

So, my friend, please pass the pie.
It is the apple of my eye.

  1. That is HILARIOUS!!!! You should get it published before Dr. Seuss does!

Ya, I like pie, too 😀

  2. We are in the midst of eating cherry pie. I always make one when I get my cherries for the season. I would eat that pie out of any vessel provided thank you.

It's especially good with homemade goat's milk ice cream.

  3. I can always go for a good pie of pie. A little ice cream or cool whip on top. Or a coconut custard with nothing on top. But I am afraid I would have to insist on a plate. A bowl could also work.

  4. Oh, Chuck! I am with you all the way. Pie, pie, pie. I want one now (but the only way that will happen is if I make one…)
