I was going to post this series of sunrise photos five weeks ago. Then the carpal tunnel made its full force known to me, and I had to back off from my 7-day-a-week posting schedule.
It was and a beautiful late October morning. As I sat at the breakfast table the suns’ reflection from the neighbor’s silo caught my eye.
Something magic was happening. I widened my gaze.
The sun was waking up the world around me. Magnificient!
These scenes are now blanketed in white. We’ve traded shirt-sleeve weather for below freezing temperatures. But it’s okay — all part of the natural rhythm that is the symphony of life upon this orb.
Busy Day
Bam, bam, bam, bam. I woke this morning from restful sleep. I wasn’t fully alert, but conscious — if barely so. Bam, bam, bam, bam. I wish it would stop. I’ve only had ten hours sleep. I want more! Bam, bam, bam, bam. I ought to get up. I don’t want to get up. Bam, bam, bam, bam. Just another half hour. Please! Bam, bam, bam, bam. Maybe it’s the ice maker. Again. Bam, bam, bam, bam. I’d better go check . . . In a minute. Bam, bam, bam, bam. I get up and walk to the refrigerator. Bam, bam, bam, bam. The location of the sound has shifted. Oh, I know what it is. Sylvia cracking hickory nuts in the basement. Plenty of nuts for candies and cookies.
I skipped breakfast this morning. I was on a 12-hour fast before having blood drawn for lab tests. I did that, returned home had a cup of coffee and a small bowl of cereal.
Next stop was the dentist’s office. They installed the permanent crown. That was on the tooth that split while I was eating Grape Nuts. I love that crunch. My dentist says he doesn’t like them. At least they bring him some extra business.
Dental Tech, Jan is a neighbor. Her mother built the house where Sylvia and I live. I was extremely pleased that she did all the prep work today. Jan is very competent and is a pleasant person as well. It was nice to get caught up on family news and all.
Next stop was the Post Office. The window was closed for lunch. I was able to mail some cards, but couldn’t buy the stamps I wanted.
I’ve been at this computer long enough now. I’ll try to post again toward the end of this week.

Wow, you are a busy guy! I hope you get some answers on your hands. We need you back, Chuck!
Nice pictures- not much to picture here today. I'm going to have to reach back too, I think. Glad you are feeling better and getting that tooth fixed. We miss you. Will there be a big Christmas concert again this year?
We got snow, too! That's all I've been blogging about– snow. My readers must be bored outta their skulls by now. But nothing else is happening in my (thankfully) mundane life.
Glad to see you post. Hope you recover quickly!
I hope you have a lovely week. And get your stamps!
