Joy is where you find it. Open your eyes and look. Even here in western Michigan where winter skies are frequently lead-gray for days on end, the motives for joy abound. The crunch of snow beneath one’s feet. The cat that rubs against your leg or that finds a dry spot to catch the weak rays of the winter sun. A feeder filled with birds. The snow plow that clears the road. Sally who delivers the mail with a grin and a wave. Don’t be gloomy Gus. Even on the cloudy days, above those clouds the sun is shining.
