Alien Invaders?

This is what my eye saw shortly after midnight on March 31.  The silvery streaks are ice on apple branches and the golden spheres are caused by sodium light shining through the raindrops on my office window.

This is what the camera saw:

Perhaps it is just as well that cameras don’t have creative imaginations.  What do you think about that?

  1. I wonder if that’s the same spots I sometimes get when taking pics? Sorry to hear your reason for being up so late. You did though, get a cool photo opp. 😉

    • Flecks of dust on the lens or filter can create spots–especially when you are shooting toward the light source. In this image, I was shooting through my office window and there were large drops of rain. Those raid drops cause these spots. I was pleased with the final (processed) image.

    • Pain is my constant companion. Some nights she won’t let me sleep. That was one of those nights. :banghead:
