American Goldfinch
Flash of golden wing,
He sits on thistle feeder,
Eats some seeds and flies.

About Chuck

I am retired after a career in electronics and in publishing. Today, my wife of 50+ years, Sylvia, and I live in a house on a hill beside a dirt road in rural west Michigan. We enjoy living in this country environment where livestock and wild life out number the human population.

  1. I Love birds and this one is adorable. Fantastic haiku to match the photo, Thanks for my bird fix today Chuck.

  2. Such pretty birds.
    We don't have them here.
We do get golden eagles but not as frequently as the bald eagles.

    HUGE birds!

  3. So much enjoyed maintaining feeders for years, but now that we are not in the Hoosier Winterland in the winter, feel it would be cruel to get the creatures used to being fed at our location, only to pull the plug when they most need it. Great picture. Keep us posted!
