Easter afternoon, with camera in hand, I went in search of Easter beauty and here is what I found:
There was a single snow drop in sight. On the others, I could see only green with no hint of blossoms. As I searched for more, I had this wonderful encounter:
I’d forgotten that a single crocus had survived. That was until I saw it in all of its beauty growing quietly behind a pole and some mulberry brush. It certainly brightened my day!
First there was the one blossom on a single daffodil and a few days later it seems that they are all in bloom. We had a beautiful day to celebrate Easter. And today, Monday, it is even nicer. I’m going to enjoy it as much as I can. Tomorrow, the forecast high is over 20 degrees cooler. (It was good while it lasted.)
Yep, took the jackets out for school today, but that’s okay. It’s still a lot nicer than it has been for awhile.
I took pictures of Daffodils in the park this weekend. Yours are pretty, and the purple on that Crocus is very Easter-y and nice. 🙂
At least we have milder weather–even if we have to wear jackets.
Thanks. I love the color on that particular crocus. I want to get some more to plant by the house for next year. :hkitty:
As long as there’s no ice/snow on the roads, I’m content!!
My daffodils always cheer me up, and they will start very soon. Just the jetfires blooming now, but I have 11 varieties that keep things up for about a month.
Wow! Eleven varieties–that’s great. Just two varieties here one standard size and one miniature, and they’re both solid yellow we used to have a couple of other varieties, but they’ve disappeared.
The colors of the flowers, the beauty of the sunshine, the warmth of the air, precious treasures all. It may be a few degrees cooler today than it was yesterday, but the promise of ice-free, snow-free days, bone-chilling cold in the past is what this time of year is all about.
Yes, it is. :cloud9:
