We were at the table eating our evening meal of catfish, boiled potatoes and mixed veggies with salsa. I heard the sound of a helicopter, which is not unusual around here. I didn’t see the aircraft, but I did catch a good look at the evening sky. Excusing myself, I made a dash for the camera and went out on the front deck.
I zoomed in on the “fire in the sky.” This was most remarkable for the tear in the space/time continuum.
Then I zoomed back out to catch the overall scene. Not as dramatic, but it was a beautiful moment to cap off what had been a beautiful day. Later, I had the best night’s sleep I’ve had in a very long time.

Thanks for telling about the “tear” involving space and time….will have to watch more closely for this type of phenomenon . Only, we don’t get to see much when it comes to sunsets, but we’re overwhelmed by the brilliant sunrises..
Space and time were not really torn. It was only a narrow gap between two cloud banks.
Beautiful photos of a lovely sky…but the best part is the restful night. Sleep is highly underrated.
For my part, sleep is not underrated. Most nights it does not come easily to me.
Don’t burn the sky.
I am waiting for my turn to appreciate it.
It was an illusion. The sky only appeared to be on fire. The fire was on the sun (our closest star). I do want you to continue appreciating the sky. There is much there to enjoy.
Beautiful sunset.
We are blessed by beautiful sunsets on a fairly regular basis. I liked the blue stripe through the middle of this one.
