Midnight Monday

Midnight likes to visit me in the office. So, I try to distract him with a toy. Glitter balls are his favorites. He bats them, pounces on them and carries them around.

To the left of my desk, between the waste basket and the shredder is a box that our little guy can leap on to get up to the window. There was Midnight with his head in the waste basket. What was going on?

I should ask, “What’s going in?” There was our guy diving into the waste basket. This should be interesting. He disappeared from sight and was actively doing something in there. What was it?

Then his head appeared, and in his mouth a green glitter ball. So that was his motivation.

And the victor emerged triumphant — glitter ball in mouth.

Sylvia and I were both  ill most of last week. She is doing better now, but I’ll be seeking medical assistance today for what appears to be an internal infection. I hate those things.

About Chuck

I am retired after a career in electronics and in publishing. Today, my wife of 50+ years, Sylvia, and I live in a house on a hill beside a dirt road in rural west Michigan. We enjoy living in this country environment where livestock and wild life out number the human population.

  1. How adorable! Our cats are always doing something goofy like that – but the antics always make sense, don't they? (Ok, so most of the time they make sense. lol)

I'm sorry you aren't feeling well – I'm waving my scepter your way in hopes you have a quick recovery. You're in my thoughts! 🙂

  2. Oh, Chuck! I hope you are okay!! Let me know what the doctor says–maybe he'll give you a shot in the butt. 😉

LOVE Midnight and his Sparkle! Isn't it funny how they love those things???

  3. I am sorry you are still feeling poorly. I hope the doctor can help.
Midnight is a good green sparkle ball hunter!

  4. Ooo, fun! A new game! He's cuter every day. I'm glad Sylvia is better. Sure hope you can get some relief, too.
