very pretty, but it made me think “crash and burn”
I can see that. It certainly looks like fire there in the west. ๐
I wonder why the sky is so shy, her face turns red every evening.
An excellent question my friend. Perhaps her face turns red because she is not a “lady of the evening.” ๐ณ
I love the jet trails…they are awesome combined with the sunset.
Hi Wayne, It was a combination of the color, fire and those contrails that particularly caught my eye too.
What a great capture!
Thanks Pamela! And thanks for taking time to leave a comment too. You visit and you comment are much appreciated.
Amazing photos, I try to take great pics like these but they never turn out quite so beautiful.
Thanks Carrie, There is something about this area that allows to see such dramatic skies. If you photos are looking dull or flat, you should try post processing with graphic software. I have very good results with Photoshop Elements. ๐
Thanks. I hope you have a good response to your WW post today.

โBeautiful sunset. To have a quiet evening.โ ๐
A perfect description of the scene and the evening.
Nice colors and patterns in this particular sunset!
Thanks for stopping by today.
It was the colors, patterns and contrast that caught my eye as we started to eat our evening meal. :food:
I enjoyed my visit to your blog.
Enjoy it while you can, the air is getting nippy and our Michigan sky is going to be overcast before you know it. ๐
I am . . . I am! I know that winter will follow and with it comes those lead gray skies that cover our Michigan winters. I guess we can thank “the Lake,” which also moderates our weather. Looks like today will be another one of those days that make you glad you live in this fine place.
I love a good sunset. So beautiful and peaceful.
Me too. Those sunsets seem like promises that good things will follow. ๐
Congrats on taking such beautiful sunset shots!
Thanks Erika. It’s good to see you again.
We were at the supper table when I looked out the window and saw what was happening. I excused myself and ran for the camera and managed to get outside just in time to capture those images. As you can see it didn’t take long for it to fade. ๐
Well, it was lucky you were looking, and had time to grab your camera – the shots are gorgeous and the colours are stunning! (it’s nice to be back again, by the way!)
Love this time of day as well as the early morning.. the sky is so Beautiful
I agree, but some days the sky is more beautiful than on others. Good to see you visit here again.
