About Chuck

I am retired after a career in electronics and in publishing. Today, my wife of 50+ years, Sylvia, and I live in a house on a hill beside a dirt road in rural west Michigan. We enjoy living in this country environment where livestock and wild life out number the human population.

  1. Amazing photos, I try to take great pics like these but they never turn out quite so beautiful.

    • Thanks Carrie, There is something about this area that allows to see such dramatic skies. If you photos are looking dull or flat, you should try post processing with graphic software. I have very good results with Photoshop Elements. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • It was the colors, patterns and contrast that caught my eye as we started to eat our evening meal. :food:

I enjoyed my visit to your blog.

  2. Enjoy it while you can, the air is getting nippy and our Michigan sky is going to be overcast before you know it. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • I am . . . I am! I know that winter will follow and with it comes those lead gray skies that cover our Michigan winters. I guess we can thank “the Lake,” which also moderates our weather. Looks like today will be another one of those days that make you glad you live in this fine place.

    • Thanks Erika. It’s good to see you again.

We were at the supper table when I looked out the window and saw what was happening. I excused myself and ran for the camera and managed to get outside just in time to capture those images. As you can see it didn’t take long for it to fade. ๐Ÿ˜€

      • Well, it was lucky you were looking, and had time to grab your camera – the shots are gorgeous and the colours are stunning! (it’s nice to be back again, by the way!)
