Bryant and Barbara got a puppy for Briana when she was a little girl. They grew up together and he was always there for here. Sadly, dogs don’t live as long as people. Patches had health issues for the last few years. Thanks to tender love and care, he was able to stay with the people who loved him–and whom he loved.
Don’t they look connected in this photo? Briana’s mom captured this image and the essence of the relationship between a dog and his girl.
It was Christmas 2006 when I took this shot in our living room. Briana was spoofing for the camera and Patches was, as always, completely connected to her. Don’t you love that look on Patches’ face.
When Briana graduated from High School this spring, Patches was in failing health. Still his heart was connected to his girl.
Last week, Patches lost his battle with failing health. He will be missed by those of us who loved him
.
OH… bye, bye, Patches. Losing your first dog is so hard. But I have to say that Briana was an amazingly cute child.
NOOOO! Oh, poor Patches! Poor Family! Poor Briana!! It's so hard to lose your childhood pet. 🙁
I'm thinking of her today and how sad she must be. Give her a hug for me, Chuck. I know the pain.
We lost a furry family member this year too. My heart goes out to you.
Aaah, it's so sad to lose a family member no matter the species.
It is very sad that our pets don't live very long. God bless you guys.
Rip Patches.Patches is now at the Rainbow Bridge waiting for everyone.
Those photos tell the story! Losing a pet is losing a family member. Condolences to Briana and to all who loved Patches.
RIP Patches. All dogs goes to heaven.
