Proverbs on Keeping Silent

Proverbs 18:13

He who answers before listening—
that is his folly and his shame.

Proverbs 17:27, 28

A man of knowledge uses words with restraint,
and a man of understanding is even-tempered.
Even a fool is thought wise if he keeps silent,
and discerning if he holds his tongue.

  1. For those that have trouble remaining silent 🙂

    Proverbs 16:24

Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.

  2. This is indeed very wise council and a great reminder for all of us.

I will admit that I am guilty of not always listening to all of th facts before I speak, especially if it concerns a subject I feel passionately about.

Blessings to you Chuck! I hope you have a great week!
