Sunday ~ Proverbs 3:7 – 12

3:7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear the LORD and shun evil.

8 This will bring health to your body
and nourishment to your bones.

9 Honor the LORD with your wealth,
with the firstfruits of all your crops;

10 then your barns will be filled to overflowing,
and your vats will brim over with new wine.

11 My son, do not despise the LORD’s discipline
and do not resent his rebuke,

12 because the LORD disciplines those he loves,
as a father the son he delights in.

True wisdom realizes how much it doesn’t know. How much it fails to grasp and understand. Solomon speaks about this shortcoming and gives the remedy.

In Chapter 26, he says this:

12 Do you see a man wise in his own eyes?
There is more hope for a fool than for him.

  1. Happy Sunday Chuck! Haven't went to church for a couple of Sundays already but HE's always in my mind and HIS words abide me daily so I guess that's just equivalent to going to church, right? but I will go to church on this next Sunday(coming) because I know we really need to. So then, have a pleasant day my friend! And belated Fil-Am Friendship Day! hugs!
