Taking Care of Business

I had not looked forward to the job.  In no way had I wanted to go through all the bother.  But the Christmas spirit finally kicked in, I did it!  Oh, and it wasn’t as difficult as I thought it might be to put up the tree.

Just having fun with you.  Our “tree” has been up for a couple of weeks already.  The beautiful ceramic unit was made by my late mother-in-law.  It doesn’t shed needles and is lighted from the inside by a single bulb.  Our son, Scott, installed a high-intensity LED to illuminate the star that tops that small tree.

I wrote on Friday that I thought I had located a cousin, but then discovered that I had found a woman from a different state.  Turns out that it is the cousin I was searching for. :frolic:

My hand is not doing any better, which means I must limit my time here at the computer.  For that reason, I’ll keep this short.

  1. What a card. 🙂

Glad you found your cousin (it’s always such a good feeling to get to re-connect!), and am hoping to read good news soon about your hand!

    • ah . . . Thanks, I think. 😀

My hand is doing a bit better already. Rest and liberal application of a topical NSAID gel usually takes care of it in a few days.

  2. I remember that after Mother died, Dad put up an itty-bitty table-top tree. I was disappointed in him; nay, appalled.

We now have an itty-bitty table-top tree posing as a Christmas tree. Impostor.

Don’t know whether or not we get smarter as we get older, but we sure do change.

    • Dad had it right, huh? For us, it’s not as much fun to have a big tree when there’s no kitty to climb it and knock decorations off from it.

  3. Aw, gees…you gotta have some sort of tree, don’t you???! Not even a table tree? I tell the kids that’s all I want when I’m 90—just a little table tree. They think I’m kidding.

    • Our ceramic tree is a table tree. The air freshener is another’s attempt of humor. I liked it and shared it as a joke. I’m not waiting for 90. :nono: I may not make it :whaa:

  4. So the ceramic tree I saw is your tree? Well, you are ahead of us so far this year. Om isn’t supposed to lift anything yet, so ours won’t happen till the weekend.

    • Yes, that is our tree. We must have put that up just before your latest visit. The picture was something I found over the weekend and wanted to share it with my friends.

    • Thanks Pricilla. You are a sweet goat and good friend. :awe: I’m sorry, but that tree would probably give you a nasty case of indigestion. :stop: And we would want that, would we?
