Last week, I posted an action picture from Facebook. I solicited captions for the image. Vee wrote, “Call 911.”
My son, Scott, observed that the man in black hat and white shirt seems to be keeping horse and rider from falling over. Good eyes, Scott.
My caption idea: “Old paint never liked scorpions nor spiders, and then she saw both.” What do you think?
Today is my father-in-law’s 98 birthday. At least that what’s on the birth certificate. His birthday may have been yesterday. Seems that in the excitement, no one thought to look at the clock until some time later.
He does seem to be distressed about something on the ground!
Right! Distressed seems to be the operative word.
Happy birthday to the Gentleman who is Older than I! My mother’s birthday was always in doubt due to the exactly identical circumstance you described for your f.i.l.
I’m guessing that was not unusual when folks were mostly birthed at home.
I think you won, Chuck–mostly because you called him “Old Paint” and I haven’t heard anyone use that phrase (other than me) in years. Although the spiders/scorpion comment was really funny.
I like the way you think, Lin. I used “Old Paint” because that gave the mental picture of a critter that wouldn’t get airborne under any circumstance. I don’t know enough about horses to understand what would frighten them that much. Scorpions and spiders seemed to work for me.
I like your caption.
Thanks, Vee. On Facebook, my sister said, “Get it off. Get it off. Get it OFF!”
