Ice still covers the trees, but Christmas Eve brought partly cloudy skies and we saw sun again. But only for a while. That’s winter here on the east side of Lake Michigan.
Unfortunately, Christmas was not so nice. Despite that we were able to spend the day with family, which made it a perfect day.
The drive home took longer than usual thanks to the nasty road conditions. And yet we made it back without incident.
Today has been a bit warmer and much of the ice has dropped off the trees. We are very glad to see that.
Someone said today is going to be the coldest day of the year here in Michigan. Hubby’s got to work outside today (mailman). I’ve got his long johns ready. 🙂
Happy New Year to you and the Mrs. :tiphat:
Recently, the propane delivery guy said to me, “It feels like we’ve already had half a winter, and we’ve barely begun, right?” I agreed.
Hope that 2014 is very kind to you and yours. :hkitty:
Glad you had a nice Christmas and travel was safe. Good to see everyone together!
Thanks Lin. :tiphat: The best part of holidays is being with family. :awe:
Glad you made it home safely. What??? Briana dares to date someone whose name does not start with B? You’ll have to nickname him Buddy or something.
You’d think she’d have done some about that, right? ❓
Maybe she just has other priorities? :dontknow:
Happy for you that you got to have family Christmas and that the “without incident” thing prevailed.
As we got closer to home, road conditions improved. It was a very good day. :cloud9:
