About Chuck

I am retired after a career in electronics and in publishing. Today, my wife of 50+ years, Sylvia, and I live in a house on a hill beside a dirt road in rural west Michigan. We enjoy living in this country environment where livestock and wild life out number the human population.

  1. Shark, Yes. Yes. We are farther south than you.

Vanilla, Yes, in our area. Thanks.

Mom, I don't explain it–just report. You have a newfie that you show?

Marice, Thanks, that's why I wanted to share them with you.

Lin, What a pity. I really like to see the berries. They add a nice color contrast.

Pricilla, I'm sorry. Must not be fun for a gal to go out and play on a day like that.

  2. I have two male holly bushes so I don't get the berries. What was a good idea when the kids were little, makes me disappointed now. I wish we had the berries now!

  3. Such beautiful color! How can Michigan be so far ahead of us?
Newfie Nationals are there in May, I wish I could hop over.

  4. The azalea surprises me–surely not in your area? Saw lots of them in Texas and Arkansas.
My holly is loaded with white flowers. The birds ate all the berries.
    Like the photos.

  5. Lovely! You have a holly bush? Does it grow outside? Your flowers are farther along than ours.
