2nd Blogaversary

Two years ago on January 2, 2009, I published my first post on Secondary Roads.  And with this, I have posted 709 times.

I’ve thought about quitting a few times, but I’m not ready to give it up.  Toward the end of last year, I developed a carpal-tunnel problem.  I’ve installed voice-recognition software on my computer and have traded the mouse for a trackball.  These have helped a lot.

To celebrate this milestone, I’ve modified the Secondary Roads blog template.  I hope you like the new look.  I’m looking forward, God willing, to spending another year with all my family and friends that meet here in this space.

About Chuck

I am retired after a career in electronics and in publishing. Today, my wife of 50+ years, Sylvia, and I live in a house on a hill beside a dirt road in rural west Michigan. We enjoy living in this country environment where livestock and wild life out number the human population.

  1. It looks great, Chuck! I like the look.

Congrats on anniversary. It's amazing how fast those years fly by and the posts add up. I'm heading towards 1000, believe it or not. I'm glad that we've been pallies through most of it. 🙂

  2. Excellent! Congratulations on the anniversary, and persevere. I like the new look.

Perhaps by the end of the week I can shut the engine off long enough to catch up with SR which I've missed.

    captcha: sucks (no lie)

  3. I am so glad that you are in the blog world and that our electronic paths have crossed. Hopeful to move that to real life this year. The best to you and Sylvia and the little black Midnight!

  4. I do love the new look! Happy 2nd Blogaversary! I've only been blogging for a few months now, and I can't stand how much fun it is!

  5. Nice look, Chuck! Happy anniversary! I am glad you have not quit, either. And I have been blessed enough to have passed your blog on to others who enjoy it as much as me. I love your stories. 🙂

    Have a blessed New Year.
