At Times

I was glancing through my archive of unused photos when I found this sequence of images that I had capture over the course of a single day.  It started in the morning.  These grow near our back door, which is the main entrance to this house.

In the afternoon, I saw a spider securing its prey.  It was a large spider, its body being as large as my thumbnail.

That evening, Sylvia went into the office to read emails and play a game or two.  It is relaxing and the way she frequently unwinds after a busy day.

Another day came to a peaceful end.

About Chuck

I am retired after a career in electronics and in publishing. Today, my wife of 50+ years, Sylvia, and I live in a house on a hill beside a dirt road in rural west Michigan. We enjoy living in this country environment where livestock and wild life out number the human population.

  1. Ah, simple joys. Lovely flowers to greet you, a scary spider eating its dinner and the one you love nearby. It doesn’t get better than that…

Oh, wait…I could do without the spider.

  2. What a nice sequence…it wakes you up, and puts you to sleep. But that spider is another thing. I’ve never seen one quite like that. But, then , there must be many, many types of spiders that I have never seen !!!!

    • Those spiders are very large. I remember seeing them when I was a young boy. Still do. They are an important part of the ecosystem. Part of the Lord’s bug control program. Just keep them out of my clothes and out of my bed and I’m okay with them.

Recently, a different kind of spider got inside my pant leg and bit me several times. It took over six weeks for that to clear up.
