Two items of good news to report today. We had a couple of days with spotty or no Internet connection. (I tried some new settings while coached over the phone late last week, but refused to bother anyone over the weekend.) My ISP came out Monday, climbed my 72-ft tower, replaced the radio card, re-aimed the antenna and configured the new card. Our service is restored! I’ll have to admit I’m spoiled. My tower is an access point for several of my neighbors and as a result I have a direct shot into the main hub. Most of the time I have excellent service and great performance. No complaints here. Just glad to be back online. What did we do before personal computers, Internet, CDs, DVDs, DVRs, HDTV and the like?
I won Shark’s most recent contest! Thanks friend. You can see my entry here. It was fun making up a story and keeping it short while including all the necessary elements. That gal, Shark, really makes you earn your wins. Not surprising when you consider how devoted she is to the things she does and loves.
As I’ve composed this post, I’ve been listening to the piano music of Jim Brickman. It is so laid back and soothing. My blood pressure must be 95 over 55. I’m feeling that right and mellow.
I’ve been trying to catch the woodchuck that is burrowing under our garage. Yesterday, I checked the live trap. I had something in it. Fortunately, it was not a skunk! But it wasn’t the woodchuck either. It was a cute little bunny. I moved the trap so he could escape onto the lawn and opened the door. I saw Mr Bunny take two hops and he was out of sight. That felt good!

Thanks Chuck- I think you've been sending some traffic my way today! Hope you will get some back this month from the "ad"
We were glad to see he could finally get around to fixing it. It was quite the hassle for those in the neighborhood who need to do paid work from home.
Lucky for him satelitte is still expensive but we are exploring cellular if it can support our bandwidth needs. That or starting our own ISP that is more customer friendly.
For your woodchuck, wait until he is out and about and put ammonia soaked rags down the hole. That usually sends them packing to the neighbors. Oh, wait. . . never mind.
Last time I used a live-trap, the purpose was to catch bunnies! Caught a cat instead, and believe me when I tell you that that was one angry cat!
