About Chuck

I am retired after a career in electronics and in publishing. Today, my wife of 50+ years, Sylvia, and I live in a house on a hill beside a dirt road in rural west Michigan. We enjoy living in this country environment where livestock and wild life out number the human population.

  1. I LOVE the colors you have already, Chuck! Our colors are just starting here.

I started to giggle when I saw Sylvia and her giant….uh….ahem….squash. 😉

  2. Lovely frosty morning! And butternut squash may be my favorite. What are you going to do with them?

  3. You've displayed it all so beautifully in one post. Sylvia and midnight look so cute in these shots. It think it's time for some butternut squash soup.

  4. We are awaiting our first frost. This is our latest growing season since we have been here. It's good for my little watermelon…

  5. Frost!?!?! EEEEEK! You weather is always aiming right at Upstate NY. I'd better get those heaters installed! And fix that broken basement window! And batten down the hatches!!

    Nice squash! 😀

  6. When I get up in the morning that's what I see on the fields too. As long as the frost dissapears before I want to venture too far from the porch.
    Great harvest crop!
Midnight thinks they are very interesting.

  7. Fantastic! And like Sylvia and Midnight, I love me some butternut squash; they are so pretty.
