Happy Valentine’s Day

As I mentioned in the previous post, today has been a busy day.  Sylvia picked out her valentine this morning.  She’ll take delivery next Wednesday.

2011 Jeep Liberty

We’d have preferred a lighter color, but this has low mileage and is loaded with the features we’d like to have.  Sylvia is particularly happy with the Garmin navigation system that is included.

We had lunch out today.  We wanted someplace extra special, so we went to the Big Boy.

For me, Sylvia is preparing pernil (roast pork) for supper.  It’s one of our favorite Hispanic meals.  Life is good ❗

    • The Liberty sits higher. We’ll have to exchange notes on our next face-to-face. I think she’ll learn to love it–even if it does ride like a jeep. :laff:

  1. Nice! That should be nice to get down the snowy driveway! 🙂 No more getting stuck.

We went to the auto show last weekend and were checking out crossovers. I think (and hope) there is a new car in our future too. I’m ready to downsize from the van.

    Happy new car!

    • The Dodge Journey [crossover] was our target, but the lone model with low mileage had just sold. :zip: We decided to look at Jeeps, and this Liberty caught Sylvia’s eye as she looked out at the lot.

Our son drives a Nissan Rogue, which I really like. Perhaps I could borrow my neighbor’s John Deere to go to church in the winter. That’s the one with triple tires on each end of the drive axles. It should go through any snow we’re apt to get out here. On the down side, there’s a substantial capital outlay in the beginning and operating costs run fairly high. :laff:

    • We both agree that this was a very good day. We’ll have to see how Sylvia likes jouncing around in a Jeep. It has a “sporty” ride and excellent handling. It also has a towing package, so we can even use our trailer (a small thing) on the road. We hope You and JoAnn had a super good day. :cloud9:
