Prayer Requested

This is the guy.

This is the request.

At 9 AM this morning (Friday), our friend, Crotchety, goes under the surgeon’s knife. Phase one. He’s also scheduled for surgery next Tuesday. If you will, take some time and pray for Joe (his real-world name). Say a prayer for him each time you think of him in the days ahead. Visit his blog and leave a comment saying that you are praying for him. He will appreciate it.

FishHawk sent me an e-mail last evening, and I stopped working on a problem for a commercial customer to call Joe. I dialed his number (it’s on his blog) and he picked right up. Crotchety didn’t sound crotchety. He had had dialysis earlier and that takes a lot out of a body. He is optimistic and said he really appreciates our prayers.

I was going to post some awards today. In the greater scheme of things our Crotchety friend, Joe, is so much more important. Please pray.

  1. I am headed over right now. I use to visit Joe's blog all the time. But, have missed him since my vacation!!

Thanks so much for this Chuck for this update!!

  2. Thanks for the update, Chuck. I've been thinking of him ever since. That poor guy has been through a lot recently, I hope this brings him some comfort and healing.

  3. You are doing a very good thing here. Alas, I want to smart-off something about him so badly, but since this is a rather serious time, I won't. Maybe later.

  4. Sure, I will pray for him. I will go now to his blog. Thanks for the info Chuck, though we're not friends yet I will offer him a prayer. Hope he will be okay.

  5. Thanks for the head's up. Crotchety/Joe is such a great guy…and I hate that his health has gotten so bad recently. I will definitely pray for him – and leave a comment on his blog. He's one of my favorites – and the only reason I haven't called him is because I don't want to bother him. I know dialysis can wear you out – and so can just not feeling good. I appreciate you letting everyone know. If you don't mind, I may borrow your information so I can post it on my blog as well. It would be great if a lot of the blogging community was aware of what he is facing – and people all over the world began praying for him. Please post any updates you get. xx
