The Pain Goes On

toothpain

I took the full course of antibiotic. Check.

Root canal done, and it went well. Check.

Why does my tooth still hurt?  There are obvious signs of infection and I’ll be doing another round of a different antibiotic.  I’m hoping (and praying) that this one works.

And still I can be, and in fact am, happy.  As my good friend, Vanilla, wrote in his blog today, “Happiness is a choice.”  That’s something I’ve been saying for years–not so much to lectures others as to remind myself of that fundamental truth.

    • Chronic pain is terrible and tries even the most patient of souls. The pain is easing off a bit. Thanks. :tiphat:

  1. Yeah, tooth pain to NO fun. Had to have one extracted last year…not fun. I picked up my annual spring cold this last week. That can leave you abut as miserable. Hope the new meds work…you don’t want to lose it!

    • Spring colds are terrible. 👿

I especially don’t want to lose this tooth (molar) as it has a gold crown and now a root canal.

  2. Aw, darn. I hope the new medicine kicks the infection. Makes your whole body hurt when you have a toothache. 🙁

I liked Vanilla’s message today. I needed that little reminder. It’s so easy to get bogged down in negativity…especially at work.

    • Yes, it does. And now it’s getting into my throat.

It all in your attitude. Sharkey reminds us of that on a regular basis.
