One of the twins nibbles on our grass.

Earlier I posted some shots of the twins.  One of those is shown above.  Last night in the dusky of twilight, They returned.  Unfortunately, it was too late to capture an image with the camera.

The twins are older and their spots have faded so that they are barely visible.  Through the dining area windows, I saw them grazing on the long grass that passes for a yard.  Earlier, we had received nearly a half inch of rain.  The grass was nice and damp and the youngsters were enjoying it.

I called quietly to Sylvia to come and see.  We watched them for quite a while.  As dusk deepened, their mother appeared.  She came out of the pines and came a few feet onto the lawn.  She looked about, and content that all was well, she began to enjoy a grassy snack.  After a few minutes, she had had enough.  She turned and quietly disappeared into the pines.  Shortly after, the twins followed.

The visit was over.  Short but sweet.

  1. This could have been on my blog when that family kept walking through each night. We must be neighbors!
