Where did May go?

Busy schedules and multiple overlapping distractions have colluded to keep me from posting.  I took a walk through the flower gardens on the last day of May.  I meant to share them . . .  Here’s what I saw.

Creation — a haiku

Surrounded by life
Glory found in everything
A beautiful world

Nothing like a walk outside to lift one’s spirit.  Don’t forget the tiny creatures that visit these flowers to the benefit of both.  It’s hard to capture images of all that is at work.

  1. Just beautiful. I like seeing flowers. They show that a person takes care of things well. I’m making progress toward beautifying my land, but I’m not ready for flowers quite yet.

    • I knew that you would like the flowers. I also knew that you would easily relate to “surrounded by life,” because your eyes are used to seeing the joyful order of creation.

    • Come and visit me and then you can. The Stella Doro lilies are out and beautiful.

Love that pic of Chloe for your icon. She was so beautiful.

  2. What a beautiful collection !! It would be difficult to pick one above the others . It is such a lovely time of the year and everything is growing so fast and there are so many shades of green. And Yes, where did May disappear to ? And now we are already half way through June !!!!!!

  3. ooooh, beautiful blossoms! I do enjoy walking in the garden each day to see what is going on. It changes every day this time of year. We try to eat outside on the patio as much as possible too so that we can enjoy just being outside. The frogs will sometimes serenade our dinner.

Can’t wait to see how your vegetable garden is coming along! Those are my favorite posts.

    • It always surprises me how much change takes from one day to the next. I’ll try to get a post of the veggie garden in a few days.

I picked some New Zealand spinach leaves, beet greens and lamb’s quarters greens today. We’ll have them in a salad. Maybe I’ll gather some purslane to go with.
