Where is Midnight?

I went looking for Midnight the other day.  I knew he was around somewhere, but I could not see him anywhere I looked.  The house was too quiet.  What was going on?

He had to be somewhere.  But where?

And then I saw him.  I should have looked there first.

With cooler weather the norm, my little buddy spends a good part of his morning atop the cabinets above the refrigerator.  It’s a cozy place. and quiet too.  Alas.  There’s no room for me up there.  Pity.

Personal Note

Last Wednesday, I reported that I had a cold.  It has been the worst one to hit me in many years.  Here’s hoping this thing breaks this week.  Enough of the sinus headaches, congestion and sore muscles.

I’m going to go take a nap.  See you later..

  1. Oh yeah, our cat Livvy does that too. We have some nice heaters that really pump out the heat, which all rises to the ceiling. So when she wants a nap, up she goes to the book shelf..

  2. We love playing Find the Kitty!

Livvy's new favorite place is the top of cabinets and shelves, too. Our ceilings are 9 feet high, so it gets quite toasty way up there.

I am so sorry about your cold. May you be healed quickly! 😀 I am so glad to see you with a new post.

  3. They know the warmest spots in the house. Bella's new spot is on top of the hot water heater.

    Hope you feel better soon!

  4. Makes me think it is probably the coziest spot in the house. 🙂
    Feel better for Christmas.

  5. Dang, if I could fit, I'd be up there too! Heck….I couldn't even climb up there to see if I fit!!

Sorry about the cold. I sure hope it goes away soon. Aren't you due for that doctor's visit soon anyway?? Criminy–you are gonna have to have him check everything! Yikes.

I have a small cold too, and it only made my eyes dry out like raisins. Hurts like hell and makes driving really interesting. I'm wearing dark sunglasses so I look like Greta Garbo driving thru traffic. Ugh.

  6. I hope you feel better soon. Watch out for pneumonia! You don't want to have it devolve…

    Cats are so funny

  7. Having arrived here from "Duck and Wheel" might I guess that Midnight was hiding from the terror that is Christmas gift wrapping?

Wish you well, Chuck. I seem to finally have gotten over that, knock wood.
