Celebrating Nine Years of Blogging

9

Today is my ninth blogaversary.  For some time, I posted at least once a day.  I’d spend hours at my computer.  I don’t do that anymore.  Many of my friends from back then have vanished.  In those days, the typical blog lasted no more than three or four years (if that long).

Fortunately a few of those friends are still around and active.  I am particularly grateful to those hardy folks who are still making their presence known in the blogosphere.

Lots of cold weather here lately, and tonight I hear the wind blowing.  I’m grateful to have a warm home and a loving wife.

Frosty mornings have greeted us with scenes like this one.

Unfortunately, the camera utterly fails to capture the scene as the human eye does.  Yet, there is beauty in those silver-frosted trees.

Sylvia joins me in wishing you all the very best in 2018.

  1. I love that you have made real-life friendships from the blog. I had hoped to bring my family to visit with you when we were up north, but we moved, and though it could still happen, the chances are far less now. Still and the same, I appreciate who you are through the screen, and love that you are part of my blogosphere. 🙂 Happy Blogaversary!

    • Thank you very much, Rosey. I had hoped that the visit would work out, but life intervened. I’m also glad that our paths have come together.

  2. Happy ninth blogaversary! Not many of us have lasted so long. I miss some of those who are gone and I’m grateful for bloggers like you who are still here with me.

    • Thanks, Ratty. There are a few of us who have persisted, but many more have come and gone. I think it makes the enduring friendships all the more precious.

  3. I remember meeting you with that old blog-hop site…what was it called? Gosh, seems like a long, long time ago!! But…I am glad that I found you…or you found me…and that we are still blogging and reading together. I treasure my group of dedicated blog friends.

That scene is beautiful in a Dr. Zhivago kinda way. If only my feet and hands weren’t so dang cold I could actually enjoy this! It helps that the sun is shining. I hope it stays with us for the long haul.

Happy New Year to you and Sylvia!

    • Blogger buds are special folk for sure. Looks like a break in this cold weather is headed our way. :woot: It will be nice–even if it turns our road into a sea of mud. :badmood:

  4. Very lovely picture….I name it “Frozen”…Congratulations on 9 years of blogging.!! And here’s wishing you an Sylvia a great 2018 !!

  5. That is a pretty picture, Chuck. Of course, you and Sylvia are two of the best perks to come my way as a result of blogging! Here’s to nine more years. :tiphat:
