Random Thoughts

As I sit here in front of an open window, I hear a peeper out there and he’s making a lot of racket.  I [noisily] cleared my sinuses a bit ago.  The fellow went instantly quiet and I thought, “Oh no!  I blew it.] :nono:

Why is it impossible to buy summer clothes in the summer time?  This time of year, you’ll only  find winter clothes and by Christmas, or thereabouts, you’ll find only spring wear.  Is the rest of the world that much better organized?  Does everyone else plan that much better?  I don’t get it.  (In more ways than one.)

Why do they call our later years the “Best Years?”  Is it just because they’re the last ones you are going to have here on Earth?  Don’t our bodies start to break down and wear out?  Am I missing something?

Why does dessert come after the meal?  If we ate it first, we’d probably stop sooner.  Am I being silly?  If so, why does Weight Watchers encourage its members to do exactly that?

All the world is mad dear friend save me and thee.

About Chuck

I am retired after a career in electronics and in publishing. Today, my wife of 50+ years, Sylvia, and I live in a house on a hill beside a dirt road in rural west Michigan. We enjoy living in this country environment where livestock and wild life out number the human population.

  1. I don’t like that they sell things too early in the season because when you need something, they are out of your size or what you want. Try finding a swim suit in July or August…good luck. I never understood why they merchandise that way.

  2. I recently noticed that here in Iowa they just started selling Fall clothes. Back in Michigan that would have been over for awhile. Something’s a bit different here for some reason.

    • My hosting companies moved me to different [supposedly better] servers a couple of weeks ago. I tweaked a setting and it made a big difference for Sylvia. :frustrate:

My guess is that you gravitate toward healthier food. I base that on observation.

    • I knew you’d be the one to provide the missing part. Well done Sir ❗

I believe that I’ve heard you say that very thing about dessert, but we followed the custom of our culture and ate it last. :surrender:

  3. I think the call them the best years because we’re over the silly stuff. We don’t care if one stray hair is out of place, if someone doesn’t agree with us, and things like that… Just my guess. 🙂

Or it could be because the kids are grown and we get to do things for just us (generally speaking). I don’t like that theory though, I miss my kiddos being home (the ones that are grown).

Your blog’s taking a bit to load (today and yesterday), just so you know. Not sure you could fix it anyway, and it could be me. Just an FYI cuz I’d want to know if it was mine. :dontknow:

Now I gotta try the new smiley…he’s cute. ❗

    • How can they be best when one’s body is wearing out and falling apart? ❓

I have had other reports of slow downloads. I’ve been experimenting, but haven’t found the key yet.
