This rose bush has but a single blossom this year.  While that might seem sad to some, for my part I’m glad for this bit of beauty in the flower garden.

About Chuck

I am retired after a career in electronics and in publishing. Today, my wife of 50+ years, Sylvia, and I live in a house on a hill beside a dirt road in rural west Michigan. We enjoy living in this country environment where livestock and wild life out number the human population.

  1. Every little bit of beauty helps. I have a flowering plant in the back of my house that looks pretty pitiful, but at least it’s there at all.

  2. Roses always seem to be very special. Your rose seems to be extra special because it is all alone and is so perfectly formed and the color is so intense. My rose bush did the opposite this spring…it was suddenly filled with blossoms and the red is a deeper, darker red . Andy always called it “his” rose bush!!!

    • We are fond of our roses too. Earlier, I had posted a pic of our white roses. This year they have many blossoms and looking good.
